Guillaume J.A. Bresso — Founder & Principal Expert
Guillaume J.A. Bresso is the founder and principal expert of GB'S PARIS. An art historian and specialist in Mesoamerican civilizations, he holds a PhD in anthropology and art history.
Trained from an early age on major archaeological sites such as Baalbek and Petra, he developed a keen sensitivity to the materiality of artworks and their historical contexts. In 2008, he co-founded the Leonis Workshops with Argentine sculptor Omar Ricciardi, a collective specializing in traditional reproduction and gilding techniques. This practical experience gave him a profound understanding of ancient craftsmanship, particularly pre-Columbian ceramics.
Academic Background and Research
His research integrates extensive fieldwork and archival study at key sites including Palenque, Joya de Cerén, Yagul, Mitla, and pre-Inca contexts in Bolivia. He focuses on Maya writing systems, iconography, cosmology, and the political organization of Mesoamerican societies.
